This week, I had the chance to photograph the Hurricane Erin swell as it made its way up the East Coast to Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina. When the waves roll in like this, you can always count on the local surf community to show up, and they did not disappoint.
I wish I could have been there all day to see the clean afternoon sets and watch the surfers rip, but a full-time job doesn't always allow for a week off just to enjoy good waves. Luckily, I got to spend an early morning enjoying the breeze, watching the surf.
I put together a surf photography gallery from the Hurricane Erin swell, and all the images are free to save and download. Whether you were in the lineup, cheering from the beach, or just love seeing the East Coast surf scene come alive, feel free to grab your favorites and send to anyone you recognize!
